Day 1: Welcome to South Africa

Upon arrival guests will be greeted and checked into their room. We will meet up for dinner and discuss the upcoming adventure!
Accommodations: City Lodge, Johannesburg or similar
Meal: Dinner


Day 2: Off to Kruger National Park

After breakfast we depart on our way to the Kruger area. Upon arrival guests will have time to settle in before our evening game drive into Kruger National Park to see wildlife such as giraffe, elephant, rhinoceros, cape buffalo, kudu, lion, leopard, hyena and more!!

Day 3: Free Day of Activities

On our third day, you will have a free day to explore Cape Town, tour the historical South African wineries, a hike up Platteklip Gorge on Table Mountain, or shop the day away at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront! We will gather for a final Cape Town farewell dinner later in the evening.

Day 3 Free Day Tour Options:
Guest may choose from a list of local things to do! From easy going horse back rides to more exciting zip line adventures we promise you’ll find what you are looking for!

Day 4: Into Kruger National Park

After breakfast we depart to go deeper into Kruger National Park. Animals we may see on our way into Kruger are elephant, giraffe, cape buffalo, rhinoceros, kudu, impala, hippopotamus, lion, hyena along with many species of birds!

Included Activity: Day Tour To Satara Rest Camp & Back to Nkambeni
Accommodations: Nkambeni Tented Camp

Day 5: Goodbye Kruger – Hello Swaziland

Today we depart Kruger National Park on our way into Swaziland! The Kingdom of Swaziland offers great cultural experience as well as local African market shopping opportuinities.

Day 6: Swaziland to Johannesburg

Guests will have the morning to choose what activity they would like to do such as:
– Hike in the surrounding area
– Horseback ride
– Bicycle Rides
– Canopy Tours
– Bird Watching Tours
– Relaxing at the hotel grounds
– Shopping in the local cultural market

After our morning adventures we will depart for Johannesburg to stage for our next leg of the journey at 1pm!

Day 7: Addo Elephant Park

Today we catch an in country flight to Port Elizabeth where we will venture back into “the bush’’ in Addo Elephant Park! Guests can expect to see large open areas with African wildlife such as elephant, kudu, mountain zebra, eland, impala, warthog, and hyena with possibilities of seeing lion and leopard!

Day 8: Addo Elephant Park to Tsitsikamma National Park- The Garden Route

We start another day in beautiful South Africa with a drive to the heart of the world famous “Garden Route”! Guests should expect beautiful views of the ocean and beautiful scenery as we tour along the coast. Upon arrival to our lodge we will take the afternoon to enjoy the local area.

Day 9: A Free Day On the Beautiful Garden Route

Day 10: Tsitsikamma National Park To Cape Town

Pack your bags for the last leg of the trip! We depart to see the historical wine country of Cape Town! Along the way we will stop at scenic overlooks and local historical sights. Upon arrival guests will check in and have an opportunity to shop and have dinner on the world famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront!

Day 11: A Day on the Cape

Listed as one of the NEW 7 wonders of the world, Table Mountain is on the checklist today! After we spend the morning on Table Mountain we will head down to Cape Point to see beautiful overlooks with a stop at Boulders Beach to see the Southern African Penguins!

Day 12: Goodbyes

After breakfast we will say goodbye and look forward to our next BrushBuck Adventure!

  • Please book your flights from the USA arriving into Johannesburg, South Africa and departing out of Cape Town, South Africa.
  • Ask your travel doctor for malaria pills that will work best for you and your travel companion. We use Malarone, but that may not work for everyone.
  • Your International Certificate of Vaccinationwill be needed on this trip.
  • Your passport will be needed for travel throughout this tour.
  • A traveler’s wallet is suggested with two (2) credit cards and at least one ATM card. Tell your bank where you are going otherwise they will shut your cards off for fraud protection. It is advisable to keep $500 USD in small bills ($20’s, $10’s, and $5’s) on hand throughout the vacation along with local currency.
  • Weather is mild cold (60 degrees Fahrenheit) to very hot (100+ Fahrenheit). We suggest packing thin long sleeve shirts, thin pants or zip off pants as these prevent sunburns and bug bites.  Laundry service is available and saves a lot of packing.

  • Currency in South Africa is the South African Rand which can be withdrawn at the ATM or bank upon arrival. Call your bank to let them know you are traveling!
